"The Very Large Array"
On the Plains of San Agustin in New Mexico stands one of America’s most remarkable astronomical achievements: the Very Large Array radio telescope.
On a moonless night, the sky above the telescope opens into a universe waiting to be explored—a vast dome of stars stretching from the zenith to the horizon.
Whether you are a scientist, photographer, or traveler, take a moment to pause and be inspired by the universe overhead.
Here are a few images from my three days on the Plains of San Agustin.

“A wonderful evening. In the darkening twilight I saw a lone star hover: Like a gem above the bay.”
~Sir Earnest Shackleton (Feb 15th, 1874 – Jan 5th, 1922).
Written January 4th 1922, his final diary entree on board his expedition ship Quest.
