"The Saguaro Project"

   The Saguaro cactus must be the iconic image of the American Southwest. Three years ago, I photographed in Saguaro National Park for the first time. On this second shoot I discovered that it isn’t the Saguaro cactus that I love, but the Sonoran Desert itself!

   Shooting in the mornings and late afternoons to avoid the mid-day heat, the Sonoran is alive with activity, lizards, snakes, bugs, and the Song Dogs singing. What I loved the most is that everything either bites you, stings you, or sticks you with a thorn! It’s a rugged land for sure.
