"Hovenweep National Monument"

Hovenweep National Monument is one of my favorite places in the American Southwest! I believe what I love the most is its isolation and the small crowds. Located in the Four-Corners region, it is bisected by the Colorado-Utah state line. The site contains six prehistoric Puebloan villages built between 1200 and 1300 A.D. Hovenweep is famous for its towers built along the canyon rims and balanced on top of large boulders, on Cajon Mesa of the Great Sage Plain.
